The "D" Cup

I'd like to thank everyone who showed up for the d-cup races this fall! I had a great time, and I'm sure you all did too.

Please check back next year for news about the Spring d-cup! Those races have traditionally started soon after daylight savings time, and that will probably be the case again this coming season.

Last Race of the D-Cup 2012 on Trough.  Little dark but not too bad.  I'm working on flash locations for these types of races so next year should be wicked good shots.

I was not in town for last weekend's race on Buck, but it sounds like we had another no-turnout day.

Hayden Curbow stepped up to run the race while I was gone (thanks, bro), so he gets 1st place!

This Friday is the last last d-cup of the season! I'm hoping we make up for the past couple weeks and get a great turnout. We will be racing down Trough, which is always a blast. So let's all show up and have fun! We'll meet at the parking lot around 4:15 and plan to start racing by 5:00. If there is enough remaining daylight, we will do a second run. Best time counts.

In case anyone is wondering...all racers must go down the "expert" section, but catching air on the jumps will not be mandatory for the sake of safety.

Well, this last race at Snake Root had a low turnout. No turn out actually, other than me. I guess it was a busy day for everyone. Hopefully the next race goes better.

Remember, this series is for all of us local riders to have fun and hang out. There's nothing special about Friday afternoon. It worked well in the past, but no reason not to change now if needed. If some other day/time works better, please let me know!


The next race will be down Buck. Please remember that access passes are required to park and ride at Carvins Cove. For now, let plan to race on Friday again. Meet at the top around 5:30PM and start racing soon after that.

Hey folks,

Race 4 will be down Snake Root at Pandapas. Start line will be at the fire circle, and the race will finish shortly before the river crossing near Poverty Creek.

First racer down around 5:30 PM.
