FERRIER-D Cup #2
This week is a treat for the many who have yet to experience this trail. We will only be doing the second half but at some point I suggest checking all of Broad Run Mt. Also, for all the endurance folks out there, the Dragon's Tale race is this weekend and ends with this downhill. I have attached a map and directions to the start. First rider down at 5:30. Start climbing by 4:30.
Driving directions:
Rt. 311 towards New Castle. Once in New Castle take a right on Main Street. Take another right on Court St. (Rt. 616). Follow across bridge and continue for ~1 mile. Turn right onto Maggie Maw Ln (?) and follow as it turns to gravel. Once into forested area stay right and cross small creek. Trail is immediately on left after creek and pull off. Creek may be deep. Follow the trail up up and up and we will meet you up there. Do not go down the other side!
D-Cup 2012 R1 photos
Greetings D-Cup 2012 R1 Racers.
There were 28 racers for Beast/Jacobs Ladder but I only "captured" 27 with Racer 10 sustaining a flat at my location so no picture to post. There were two riders prior to Graham that I got pictures of so let me know if they were racing.
Great race to watch!
Racers 19 and 20 (Matt) gave a great show but Racer 20.5 wins best in show ;)

BRG team video
Skipped this one to the front of the line for all the Ders out there and got the video up ASAP for round 1. I think it's safe to say we all had a blast and that's what it's all about. Thanks again to Graham and Kirby for putting it on!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the next race is on ferrier trail in new castle. It's a smooth trail with lots of sweeping corners and a bunch of creek crossing at the end. Great choice for the D cup as it's a fun trail that not many of us have done. Since there's not much out there about it figured I'd throw a good link up:

The first downhill of 2012...
This Friday, March 23 is the kick off to the 2012 edition of the D-Cup. Meet at 5:00pm at the top of Jacob's Ladder/Beast. We will also be hosting a camp out weekend at Boley Fields Friday-Sunday. The weekend will consist of good riding and friends. Bring everything you need and if enough people show up, East Coasters will provide a meal. Email me if you plan to camp. mkwalke@gmail.com.
