Round 3, Gauntlet info
Stoked! Gauntlet has got to be my favorite trail at the cove.
Like the kirbster said, 5:30ish at the top of new gauntlet, we'll race from sign to sign.
YOU NEED A PASS TO RIDE THE COVE. They have started giving real ($25) tickets for not having or properly displaying your pass. passes are available at all the parking lots from a honor-system drop-box thing like douthat. $2/day or $20/year, cash or check.
Also, do we have any volunteers willing to not race so we can have a split time at the old-new gauntlet junction? Not critical but it would be cool.
If you haven't been out there in a while there is plenty of parking at the bottom of trough, and that is about the easiest way to the top. MAP
Directions to timberview parking:
from the light at 311 & 419, go north on 419 (away from gas stations) for a few hundred feet.
left on to dutch oven rd. just after the bridge. go a few hundred more feet.
right on timberview, follow it to the end.
see ya'll then!
